Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Sampling and analysis

Analytical monitoring:
no
Details on sampling:
- Sampling procedure for determination of formed nitrate in the test assays: Three samples from of each test assay were taken at the start of exposure, after 7 days and after 28 days for determination the content of nitrate. Therefore the amount of about 23.5 g was weighed into glass bottles and 100 mL demineralized water were added to aliquots of the test assays. The soil suspensions were shaken for about 1 hour at 150 rpm with a
laboratory shaker. Volumes of about 10 mL of the suspensions were taken and centrifuged for about 30 minutes at 4500 rpm. The content of formed nitrate was measured as nitrate nitrogen in each supernatant using an analytical kit no. LCK 339 from. Hach-Lange. The nitrate values of the test assays with testsubstance were compared with the values of formed nitrate of the blank control.

Test substrate

no
Details on preparation and application of test substrate:
AMENDMENT OF SOIL
- Type of organic substrate: Natural soil, type 2.3

APPLICATION OF TEST SUBSTANCE TO SOIL
- Method: The required amount of the test substance for each test concentration were balanced with 5 g quartz sand as carrier (equal to 10 g/kg dry weight) and mixed well.
