Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No data is available on the toxicokinetics, metabolism and distribution of the specific substance Amines, di-C16-18-alkylmethyl (CAS no 1227096-04-9). The information in this chapter has therefore been derived based on the physicochemical properties of the substance. Exposure to the substance is unlikely by inhalation due to the low vapour pressure and its physical form.  Ingestion is a possible route of exposure.  The irritant properties of the substance will limit the potential for repeated or prolonged skin exposure so dermal absorption should be limited. 100% absoprbtion is assumed through all routes of exposure as a worse-case senario.
