The DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible showed an endothermic effect in the temperature range from 35 °C to 70 °C (melting) and two exothermal effects with an onset-temperature of 269 °C and 358 °C respectively. The mean measured thermal capacity of the exothermal decomposition at 269 °C was 33 J/g (double measurement). The mean measured thermal capacity of the exothermal effect at 358 °C was 421 J/g (double measurement). Only the results from the first exothermal event were used for the evaluation of the thermal stability.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The test item showed an exothermic reaction in the temperature range from 255 °C to 315 °C (decomposition). The onset-temperature of this decomposition was 269 °C. The average of the measured thermal capacities was 33 J/g.
