First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
First aid personnel should pay attention to their own safety. If the patient is likely to become unconscious, place and transport in stable sideways position (recovery position). Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention. Immediately administer a corticosteroid from a controlled/metered dose inhaler.
On skin contact:
Immediately wash thoroughly with plenty of water, apply sterile dressings, consult a skin specialist.
On contact with eyes:
Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open, consult an eye specialist.
On ingestion:
Immediately rinse mouth and then drink 200-300 ml of water, seek medical attention.

Symptoms: The most important known symptoms and effects are described in the labelling (see section 2) and/or in section 11., Further symptoms are possible

6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For small amounts: Pick up with absorbent material (e.g. sand, sawdust, general-purpose binder).
For large amounts: Pump off product.
Cleaning operations should be carried out only while wearing breathing apparatus. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly with water and detergents, observing environmental regulations. Collect waste in suitable containers, which can be labeled and sealed. Incinerate or take to a special waste disposal site in accordance with local authority regulations.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas. Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the end of the shift. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. Provide good room ventilation even at ground level (vapours are heavier than air). Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Protection against fire and explosion:
Vapours may form explosive mixture with air. Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy.

Segregate from acids and acid forming substances. Segregate from foods and animal feeds.
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container dry.

Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection:
Respiratory protection in case of vapour/aerosol release. Gas filter for gases/vapours of organic compounds (boiling point <65 °C, f.e. EN 14387 Type AX)
Hand protection:
Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374)
Suitable materials for short-term contact (recommended: At least protective index 2, corresponding > 30 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374)

Manufacturer's directions for use should be observed because of great diversity of types.
Supplementary note: The specifications are based on tests, literature data and information of glove manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g. temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in practice may be much shorter than the permeation time determined through testing.
Eye protection:
Tightly fitting safety goggles (cage goggles) (e.g. EN 166) and face shield.

General safety and hygiene measures
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe vapour/spray. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the end of the shift. Gloves must be inspected regularly and prior to each use. Replace if necessary (e.g. pinhole leaks). Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Store work clothing separately.

Waste treatment methods
The UK Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations (EP) and amendments should be noted (United Kingdom).
This product and any uncleaned containers must be disposed of as hazardous waste in accordance with the 2005 Hazardous Waste Regulations and amendments (United Kingdom)
Contaminated packaging:
Contaminated packaging should be emptied as far as possible; then it can be passed on for recycling after being thoroughly cleaned.
