For REACH registration of Polyamine Acetates cross-reading is proposed with information from the relevant members of the category of the Polyamines.
The Polyamine Acetates are being produced by adding Acetate to the Polyamine substances, and as such could also be considered a preparation of both substances.
As a consequence the composition of the products reflect the same variation with considerable overlap with respect to their content of primary amines, diamine, triamines and tetraamines.
Due to dissociation in the course of the gastrointestinal tract, a principal difference in their toxicological profile compared to the Polyamines without the acetate for systemic toxicity cannot be expected. However as the acetate group is added to increase water solubility of the compound, and influences the pH of the substance, some differences could occur in the toxicity profile for acute toxicity and local effects.

Since the volumes that are put on the market are below 10 ton/a no risk assessment and therefore no DNELS are required.
