Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The conditions at which ignition occurs in powders depends on the amount of powder present, its depth and shape, the amount of air available and the exposure time. The values quoted above apply to the test conditions and will usually require reducing by appropriate safety margins to give safe plant, process or storage temperatures. However, the results indicate that the substance is not subject to dust explosivity under the test conditions.
- Executive summary:
The substance should not be subject to dust explosivity under general conditions of usage. However, care should be taken in the industrial environment to minimise this potential hazard.
