Flammability of Solids Test
Test Method: Test A10
The ignition source was an air rich bunsen burner flame.
Results
In each of six tests, the test substance charred on exposure to the ignition source, but did not ignite and did not propagate combustion along the train.
Conclusion
The test substance did not propagate combustion and therefore is not classified as a highly flammable solid in terms of its burning characteristics.
Water Reactivity Test
Evolution Of Flammable Gases When In Contact With Water
Test Method: Test A12,
Results
Step1: No gas evolved.
Step2: No gas evolved.
Step3 : No gas evolved.
Step4 :Room, temperature: 21°C - 23°C
No gas was evolved on contact with water over a period of 7 hours in each of three tests.
Conclusion
The test substance does not evolve gas on contact with water.
Flammability (Solids and Liquids)
Test Method: Test A13.
Results
Room temperature: 23°C
Observation period:5 minutes from the time of settling.
No ignition was observed in each of the six tests.
Conclusion
The test substance does not spontaneously ignite.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- non flammable
- Remarks:
- Migrated information
- Conclusions:
- Based on the results observed in the various tests conducted, the substance is not considered to be flammable under any of the conditions tested.
- Executive summary:
The results of the Flammability (Solids and Liquids) Test, A13, shows that the substance does not ignite on contact with air at ambient temperature.
The results of the Flammability of Solids Test, A10, show that the substance is not highly flammable.
The results of the Water Reactivity Test, A12, show that the substance does not evolve flammable gases on contact with water.
The substance is therefore not considered to be flammable under the various test conditions assessed.
