Additional information

The acute toxicity of 1,4 -butenediol to freshwater invertebrates (Daphnia magna) was tested under non-GLP conditions according to the EPA 75 -009 method, and test results yielded a 48 hour EC50 value of 65.2 mg/L, a 48 hour EC0 value of 31.3 mg/L, and a 48 hour EC100 value of 125 mg/L (BASF AG 1988). These data suggest a moderate degree of toxicity to Daphnia magna.
