Description of key information

Key study: Differential thermal analysis. GLP study.
It can be concluded that the test substance was thermally stable up to 80°C (when volatilisation began).

Additional information

Key study: Differential thermal analysis. GLP study.

No exothermic events were observed in either run (which would have indicated potential instability). Mass loss commenced at around 80 °C, and had become significant by 160 °C, showing the onset of boiling. Weak, inconsistent endotherms were observed in this temperature range, as would be expected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the test substance was thermally stable up to 80°C (when volatilisation began).

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is thermally stable.
