PBT assessment

Administrative data

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence - Based on read across from three structural analogues it can be concluded that the substance is not readily biodegradable. No other data are available, however there is some evidence of biodegradation in the available studies. Therefore in the absence of further information the substance is considered to satisfy the P criterion. but not vP

Bioaccumulation - The substance has a Log Kow of >6.5 determined by HPLC. Data on bioaccumulation is available from read across from a structural analogue. BCFs of 330 to 1800 and 230 to 2500 are reported at two dose levels. If the maximum value of 2500 is chosen as a precautionary approach the substance can be considered to satisfy the B criterion but is not vB.

Toxicity - No toxicity occurred in the ecotoxicology studies at the limit of solubility (0.1 mg/L). The substance is also not classified. The substance therefore does not satisfy the T criterion
