After evaporation or exposure to the air, the product will be slowly degraded by photochemical processes.
Propyloxiran hydrolyses to Pentan-1,2-diol (CAS-No.: 5343-92-0). The product of hydrolysis (Pentan-1,2-diol) is readily biodegradable. In Annex VIII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that a study on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable.
