Description of key information

Additional information

(1) The UVCB substance has a very low ecotoxicological and toxicological potential without any hazard classification. (2) PNECs and DNELs could not be derived because at the highest recommended/achievable concentrations or doses in the tests no effects were observed. (3) The concentration of the substance in the environment will be extremely low because (a) the substance is not directly introduced into the environment and (b) it has very low water solubility (< 1 mg/l). (4) The substance has a relatively high molecular weight (897 Da) and thus a low potential to cross biological membranes. (5) The substance has a low bioaccumulation potential based on log Pow = 2.2 and the high molecular weight. (6) The substance has a low log Koc = 2.4 and thus no high potential for adsorption to sediment. Based on reasons (5) and (6) exposure of animals via the food chain also is very unlikely.
