Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Stability

Hydrolysis

In an OECD Guideline 111 study, conducted according to GLP, the half life of the test material is 105 days and 41.4 hours at pH 7 and 9 at 25ºC, respectively.

Biodegradation

Biodegradation in water: screening

Key study:

In an OECD Guideline 301C study, conducted according to GLP, the biodegradation of the test material reached 6% (as BOD) after 28 days and 7% (by HPLC) after 20 days. Based on these results, the test material is not readily biodegradable.

Biodegradation in water and sediment

Based on the use pattern of the test material, intentional releases into the sediment compartment are not expected.  In accordance with Column 2 of Annex IX of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) legislation, if direct and indirect exposure of sediment is unlikely, a biodegradation in water and sediment study does not need to be conducted, therefore, this endpoint is waived.

In an OECD Guideline 301C study, conducted according to GLP, the test material is considered not readily biodegradable.

Biodegradation in soil

The study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely.

Bioaccumulation

Bioaccumulation: aquatic / sediment

Key study:

In an OECD Guideline 305C study, conducted according to GLP, the BCF of the test material is 6.1 - 63, at a test concentration of 0.1 mg/l. At a test concentration of 0.01 mg/l, the BCF of the test material is 7.1 - 23.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption / desorption

Using The Estimation Programs Interface (EPI) SuiteTM developed by the US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics and Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC) KOCWIN v2.00 using the MCI and Kow methods and default values, the Log Koc is calculated as 2.516 and 2.73, respectively (EPIWIN, 2013).

Distribution modelling

Based upon the measured physico-chemical properties presented in this document, the environmental distribution of the test material was modelled using the Mackey Level III fugacity model. The test material was predicted to predominantly distribute to the soil compartment (70.9%).
