Description of key information

Chronic daphnia and algae studies demonstrate no effects at the limits of solubility. Acute toxicity and chronic toxicity in mammalian species reveal no concern at the highest concentrations tested. Therefore, it is considered unethical and unnecessary too complete chronic toxicity testing in a vertebrate species in the aquatic environment. The substance will be classified as chronic aquatic category 4 as a precaution.
