Description of key information

The test substance has no danger of explosion according to the explosive properties in Guideline 92/69/EEC, A.14.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

In a screening method for determination of explosive properties (Guideline 92/69/EEC, A.14) a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was performed. The decomposition energy was below 500 J/g therefore the main test for explosive properties according to A.14 was unnecessary as recommended by the Transport of gangerous goods manual of tests and criteria (ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.3 page 398) (Dr. J. Franke, 2002).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Since the test substance has no danger of explosion based on screening method for the determination of explosive properties, no classification is required for explosiveness according to EC criteria (67/548/EEC) and according to CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).
