Description of key information

No photolysis or chemical transformation detected for t-butylphenyl diphenyl phosphate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Information on the read-across substance Santicizer 154 is available. As the main component is the same for S-154 and the substance of concern (reaction mass of tert-butylphenyl diphenyl phosphate and di-tert-butylphenyl phenyl phosphate) the information on S-154 is relevant for this substance as well.

In a study performed according to methodology comparable to OECD Guideline draft (Phototransformation of Chemicals in Water - Direct and Indirect Photolysis) no photolysis or chemical transformation of the reaction mass of t-butylphenyldiphenyl phosphate and bis-t-butylphenylphenyl phosphate and triphenyl phosphate was detected at a concentration of 1 ppm during the 14 -day test period.
