Additional information

In the GLP Klimisch 1 study from Fraczak (2010), the flamability of Chloroacetamide (MCAM) with a puritiy of > 98% was determined according to EU method A.10. No deviations to the guideline were observed. After forming the test substance to a row, it was tried to ignite the test substance with the flame of a burner as a pre-test. After 5, 15 and 30 seconds the test item did not ignite from the flame of the burner. The test item was melting during the contact with the flame of the burner. Since the results are negative, it was not necessary to go to the next stage of determination.

It can be concluded that Chloroacetamide (MCAM) is not highly flammable in accordance with the criteria laid out in the EU testguideline A.10.
