Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption/desorption behaviour of Alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, phosphates (CAS 106233-09-4) are available. Using KOCWIN Program (v2.00), log Koc values in the range of 4.08 - 9.6 were calculated for its components, based on the molecular conductivity index (MCI) (Gerloff-Elias, 2013). This model has no universally accepted definition of its model domain, but since several components (i.e. diester components) are outside the Kow range of the training sets, the results should be taken with caution. The definite values may not be fully reliable, but indicate a high adsorption potential, which is also to be expected based on the high log Kow value (log Kow > 5) and the low measured water solubility (< 0.53 mg/L). Nevertheless, the log Kow values for monoester components of alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, phosphates are within the training set and the results are fully reliable and indicate a high potential for adsorption (log Koc 4.08 - 4.87 MCI). The adsorption potential of Alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, phosphates is expected to be higher, since approximately 50% of the substance consists of diester, which exhibit a higher lipophilicity due to their longer hydrocarbon side chains. Based on this information, it can be assumed that the adsorption potential of Alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, phosphates is high.
