Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In this limit test, the test substance preparation of nominal 100 mg/L induced neither mortality nor symptoms of toxicity in Danio rerio (96 h NOEC >=100 mg/L; 96 h LC50>100 mg/L nominal).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of hexanoic acid, 3,5,5 -trimethyl-, tin (2 +) salt (2:1) was investigated in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 203 (Fish, Acute Toxicity Test) and EU Method C.1 (Acute Toxicity for Fish). In this limit test, fish (Danio rerio) were exposed to a nominal test substance concentration of 100 mg/L over a period of 96 h under static conditions. As the test substance was poorly water soluble a water accommodated fraction was prepared. DOC analysis showed that no loss of substance occurred during the exposure period. At the concentration tested neither mortality nor symptoms of toxicity were observed (96 h NOEC>=100 mg/L; 96 h LC50>100 mg/L nominal).
