Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

One study investigating the ready biodegradability of Reaction product of fatty acids C14-18/C16-18 unsaturated with dihydrogendioxide and ammonia is available. The study was performed under aerobic conditions according to GLP and OECD guideline 301D using non-adapted domestic activated sludge as inoculum (Henkel, 2004). Test substance concentrations of 2 and 5 mg/L were tested. The test substance reached a degradation of 93% (2 mg/L) and 83% (5 mg/L) within a test period of 30 days. The pass level of being readily biodegradable (> 60%) was reached within the 10-day window. Thus, the test substance is readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
