Abiotic degradation

EMV has a half- life in the atmosphere of 2.019 days. In accordance with column 2 of Annex viii, an hydrolysis does not need to be conducted as EMV is considered to be readily biodegradable.

The closely related analogue EMB was found to be readily biodegradable in water. EMV is considered to be readily biodegradable by read across.
