Additional information

Lead silicate is described as a yellowish granular solid with a melting point above 500°C which enables the waiving of boiling point and vapor pressure studies. As it is an inorganic substance, flash point and partition coefficient studies do not have to be conducted. The relative density is determined to be 6.601 ± 0.01 at 20°C.

The most representative part of the particles (about 82.05%) has a size lower than 1400 µm and higher than 710 µm.

The test item was not considered as highly flammable under the experimental conditions and the auto inflammability test demonstrated that there is no self ignition temperature of Lead silicate up to 400 °C (corrected value).

Lead silicate has a water solubility below 1 mg/L which permits the waiving of the surface tension study.
