Additional information

The CSA can be performed without a chronic fish study; In comparison to the relevant PECs the resulting PNEC is high enough so that the CSA could be concluded successfully. The aquatic toxicity N-[3-Dimethylamino)propyl]methacrylamide for daphnia magna and fish are in the same order of magnitude so a long term toxicity test with daphnia magna under the viewpoint of animal welfare was the method of choice. EU (86/609/EEC).

Because there is no indication of major differences in sensitivity between trophic levels (fish and daphnia) and in the absence of any significant long-term bioaccumulation potential it is not necessary to perform further chronic fish tests with N-[3-Dimethylamino)propyl]methacrylamide. The environmental risk assessment can be performed with sufficient reliability with the available long-term ecotoxicity dat
