PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

N-[3-(Dimethylamino)propyl]methacrylamide is neither classified with any of the R-phrases R45, R46, R48, R49, R60 or R63 nor is it acute toxic in aquatic organisms as E(L)C50 values are fare above 0.1 mg/l [LC50 (96h) fish: 290 mg/l; EC50 (48h) daphnia magna: 282 mg/l and EC50(72h) algae: 94.2 mg/l]. Therefore, the substance is demonstrated to be not T (not toxic).

A log Kow of 0.50 was determined in an OECD 107, shake flask method. This value is far below 4.5. Therefore, the substance is demonstrated to be not B (not bioaccumulative) and not vB (not very bioaccumulative).

Likely routes of exposure:

Not relevant as the substance is not a PBT nor vPvB substance.
