Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Two acute aquatic toxicity studies were conducted on Daphnia Magna with two different batches of the substance.
Batch I23-090312: 48h-EC50 = 2.1 mg/L and NOEC = 1.4 mg/L based on the nominal loading rates
Batch 129958: 48h-EC50 = 2.7 mg/L and NOEC = 1.6 mg/L based on the nominal loading rates

Additional information

In acute aquatic toxicity studies, performed in accordance with GLP and OECD Guideline 202, groups of Daphnia magna was exposed to two different batches of the substance at different Water Accomodated Fraction (WAF) concentrations in dilution water for 48 h under static closed conditions. Immobilisation was observed at 24 and 48 h. Quantifications to provide an indication of the stability of the WAFs were performed at the beginning and at the end of the test by measuring the concentration of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) at each WAF concentration.

Under the test conditions and based on the nominal loading rates, the 48h-EC50 was 2.1 mg/L for batch I23-090312 and 2.7 mg/L for batch 129958, the NOEC 1.4 mg/L for batch I23-090312 and 1.6 mg/L for batch 129958.

The lowest 48h-EC50 (2.1 mg/L) was retained as key value for the chemical safety assessment.
