Additional information

A 48 -hour static test was carried out according to EEC method C.2 (equivalent to OECD 202) in order to investigate the toxicity of Heptanal, 2 -(phenylmethylene) to daphnia magna. Test concentraions of 0.2, 0.4, 0.7, 1.4, 2.8 and 5.5 mg/l were created by dissolving the test substance in Elendt M4 medium. Parthenogenetic female Daphnia between 6 and 24 hours old were used as test organisms. Each test vessel contained forty daphnia. There were two replicates for each test concentration. Observations for immobilisation were made after 24 and 48 hours.

The 48 -hour EC50 was found to be 1.1 mg/l and the 48 -hour NOEC was found to be 0.4 mg/l.
