Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water.

If easy to do, remove contact lenses.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately wash affected skin with plenty of water.

Use soap if available.

Take off contaminated clothing, wristwatch, jewelry.

Wash clothes before re-use.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water.

Immediately offer water to drink.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If swallowed seek medical advice and show the container or

label.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrogen

chloride (HCl).

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus.

Equipment should be thoroughly decontaminated after use.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Use vacuum equipment designed specifically for combustible

dust.

Dig up heavily contaminated soil.

Collect in containers for disposal.

Wash spill area with detergent and water.

Minimize use of water to prevent environmental

contamination.

Handling and storage

Handling: Good industrial practice in housekeeping and personal

hygiene should be followed.

When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

Dust generated during handling and/or storage can form

explosive mixtures in air.

Minimize dust.

Avoid breathing dust.

Wash hands thoroughly after handling or contact.

Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Thoroughly clean equipment after use.

Emptied packages retain product residue and dust.

Do not contaminate drains, sewers and water ways when

disposing of equipment rinse water.

Storage: Keep locked up and out of the reach of children.

Keep away from food, drink and animal feed.

Keep only in original container.

Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental

contamination.

Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated

place.

Minimum shelf-life: 2 years.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: MON 13900 is always used in combination with the active

substance Acetochlor.

Packaging of formulation:   5 L blow-moulded HDPE bottle

63 mm induction seal cap

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: If this material is milled or the process generates fines,

the fines could form an explosive mixture if dispersed in a

sufficient quantity of air.

Chemical reaction with water: None.

Dust explosion: Not applicable.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Substance cannot be recovered or recycled once applied on

land.  In the event of a large spill of the pure substance,

the possibility of recovery is dependent on the degree of

contamination.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known at this time.  Best way to remove is by oxidative

destruction.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge in sewers, connected to activated sludge waste

water treatment station.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Can be injected in incinerator when dissolved in appropriate

solvent.  Incinerator should be equipped with a scrubber to

remove acid combustion gases.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: See above.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
