Aquatic studies conducted using the read-across substance, Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with diethyleneamine, acetate salts, are available for both freshwater and marine species.

For freshwater, acute studies are available for fish, daphnia, and algae. The lowest acute EC50 for freshwater fish is 0.19 mg/L, the lowest EC50 for freshwater invertebrates is 0.18 mg/L, and the lowest EC50 for freshwater algae is 0.505 mg/L. The NOEC for algae was 0.343 mg/L. A chronic invertebrate study is also available for Ceriodaphnia dubia, where the 7 -day NOEC was found to be 0.6 mg/L.

For the marine compartment acute studies are available for fish, invertebrates, and algae. The lowest acute EC50 for marine fish is 1.37 mg/L, the lowest EC50 for marine invertebreates is 1.11 mg/L, and the lowest EC50 for marine algae is 0.15 mg/L.
