Test conditions
- Details on test conditions:
- - Dilution series were made of a toxicant solution and distilled water. Macro- and microelements were added as follows: 1 mL of macronutrient solution per 10 mL test medium - 0.4 µL of micronutrient solution per 10 mL test medium. Macronutrient solution contains sodium nitrate, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulphate, calcium chloride, sodium metasilicate, sodium carbonate, citric acid, iron citrate and cyclohexane diaminetetraacetic acid. Micronutrient solution contains boric acid, manganese chloride, zinc sulphate, copper sulphate, sodium molybdate and cobalt chloride. Initial pH of test medium = 7.0.
- Three replica per test concentration
- Temperature = 27°C
- Growth inhibition was determined through measurement of extinction of monochromatic radiation at 578 nm
