Administrative data
First-aid measures
following skin contact : Immediately clean the contaminated skin with soap and flush with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical assistance if necessary.
following eye contact : Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately consult an ophthalmologist or physician
following ingestion : Call a physician or poison control center. If the victim is unconscious : do administer anything.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : water, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media : none
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: carbonic gas
Advice for fire-fighters
Protection or removal of flammable materials nearby. Wearing protective equipment: coveralls, boots, gloves, protective equipment for eye and face, and breathing apparatus (SCBA)
Accidental release measures
For non-emergency personnel :
Use personal protective equipment : Avoid breathing the substance. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Protective equipment : self contained breathing apparatus, safety goggles, body protection
Emergency procedures : Keep away from ignition sources, ventilate, prevent access to unauthorized persons.
For emergency responders
Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary. Suitable fabric for personal protective clothing
Environmental precautions
Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water.
Inform respective authorities in case product reaches water or sewage system.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For containment : Establishment of a protective covering of drains.
For cleaning up: Ensure adequate ventilation. Collect mechanically vacuum up or use adsorbent materials (depending on spilled quantities). Use of non sparking tools and equipment. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Clean the residues with a mixture of Ethanol and water and then rinse out the soil with water. Collect all waste for later disposal.
Inappropriate containment or clean up techniques : none
Handling and storage
Avoid all unnecessary exposure.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of aerosols.
Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Technical measures and storage conditions: Store in cool place, keeping holding on. Keep container tightly closed and well-ventilated place. Avoid any source of ignition.
Packaging materials: The substance can be packaged in plastic containers

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye and face protection: safety glasses, safety goggles, face-shields,
Skin protection:
Hand protection : The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Handle with protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the substance. Check the permeability prior to each renewed use of the glove.
Body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount of the substance to be handled. Protective work clothing, Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place.
Respiratory protection:
Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU). Wear respiratory protection equipped with mask cartridge (A2B2)
Thermal hazards: Not applicable
Environmental exposure controls: No data available
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability : stable in required conditions of storage
Possibility of hazardous reactions : no data available
Conditions to avoid : light, flame, ignition origin
Incompatible material : no data available
Hazardous decomposition products : isobutyraldehyde, carbonic gas
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment-relevant information: Dispose of waste in authorized plant, in accordance with the applicable local and national laws.
Sewage disposal-relevant information: Dispose of waste in authorized plant, in accordance with the applicable local and national laws.
Other disposal recommendations: None
