Additional information

A study was conducted to guideline OECD 301B (CO2evolution test) using the substance 2 -ethylaminoethanol. The substance 2 -ethylaminoethanol was 62% biodegraded over 28 days (i.e.60%) which is considered evidence of ready biodegradability. The pass level of 60% biodegradation was achieved within 10 days. During the test greater than 20% degradation was observed and therefore the substance would not be expected to be persistent in the environment.

The test substance 2 -ethylaminoethanol is readily biodegradable, therefore further information on biodegradation in water sediment systems is not required.

The test substance 2 -ethylaminoethanol is readily biodegradable, therefore further information on biodegradation in soil is not required.
