Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Take medical treatment.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
After ingestion: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.
Symptoms: No symptoms known currently.
Treatment: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrous gases (NOx), Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear suitable personal protective equipment. Remove persons from contaminated area
Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Take up mechanically. Avoid dust formation and electrical charging (sparking) because dust explosion might occur. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal".
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: When used and handled appropriately no special measures are needed. Avoid dust formation.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations. Keep away from sources of ignition. Dust can form an explosive mixture with air.
Dust explosion class : ST2 Capable of dust explosion
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed

Exposure controls / personal protection
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance with Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
Exposure limit values: Exposure limit values are not available.
DNEL/DMEL values:DNEL/DMEL values are not available.
PNEC values: PNEC values are not available.
General protective measures: Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Hygiene measures:
Wash hands before breaks and after work. Use barrier skin cream. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.
Respiratory protection : Wear dust mask when handling large quantities.
Hand protection : Nitrile rubber gloves. Minimum breakthrough time (glove): not determined. Minimum thickness (glove): not determined
Observe the information of the glove manufacturers on permeability and breakthrough times and other workplace requirements.
Eye protection : safety glasses
Body protection : working clothes
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Under normal conditions the product is stable.
Incompatible materials: not known
Hazardous decomposition products: Nitrous gases, Sulphur dioxide
Disposal considerations
Product: Product should be be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities.
Uncleaned packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste.
