Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice:
Remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air.
On skin contact:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
On contact with eyes:
Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
On ingestion:
Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water.
Note to physician:
Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific antidote.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam, water
Special protective equipment:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information:
Product itself is non-combustible; fire extinguishing method of surrounding areas must be considered.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Use breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dust/aerosol. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Use personal protective clothing. Information regarding personal protective measures see chapter "Exposure controls and personal protection".
Environmental precautions:
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Methods for cleaning up or taking up:
For small amounts: Pick up with suitable appliance and dispose of. Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations.
For large amounts: Dampen, pick up mechanically and dispose of. Correctly dispose of recovered product immediately.
Avoid raising dust. Reclaim for processing if possible.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Keep container tightly closed. Avoid dust formation. Avoid inhalation of dusts/mists/vapours. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Protection against fire and explosion: The substance is non-combustible.
Storage:
Keep away from water. Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed and dry; store in a cool place.
Storage stability: Contents are stable at room temperature.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Components with workplace control parameters:
The general dust limit value is to be kept.
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection:
Breathing protection if dusts are formed. Particle filter with medium efficiency for solid and liquid particles (e.g. EN 143 or 149, Type P2 or FFP2).
Hand protection:
Suitable chemical resistant safety gloves (EN 374) also with prolonged, direct contact (recommended: Protective index 6, corresponding >480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374): e.g. nitrile rubber (0.4 mm), chloroprene rubber (0.5 mm), butyl rubber (0.7 mm) and other
Eye protection:
Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles), e.g. EN 166
Body protection:
Body protection must be chosen based on level of activity and exposure.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid:
Avoid dust formation. Avoid deposition of dust.
Substances to avoid:
Water
Corrosion to metals:
No corrosive effect on metal.
Hazardous reactions:
No hazardous reactions known. The product is chemically stable.
Hazardous decomposition products:
No hazardous decomposition products known.
Disposal considerations
Observe national and local legal requirements.
Used catalysts may have different hazardous properties than the original products.
Contaminated packaging:
Dispose of in accordance with national, state and local regulations.
Contaminated packaging should be emptied as far as possible and disposed of in the same manner as the substance/product.
Contact manufacturer regarding recycling.
