First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: - Immediately move to fresh air and notify medical per-

sonnel and supervisor.

Emergency measure - Eyes: - Immediately flush eyes thouroughly with water and

notify medical personnel and supervisor.

Emergency measure - Skin: - Immediately wash thouroughly with soap and water for 15

minutes and notify medical personnal and supervisor.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: - Drink two glasses (8-12 oz. or 250 ml) of water and

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: - Water, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide

Product arising from burning: - Not known.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: - Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Decontaminate all equipment after use.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: - If material is released or spilled, cordon off spill area.

Take proper precautions to minimize exposure by using

appropriate personal protective equipment. For small

spills of solids, do not attempt to sweep up dry materials

use water or an appropriate solvent to dilute and clean

up. Soak up material with paper towels and wash spill area

thouroughly with soap and water. For larger spills, wet

down spilled material with water or an appropriate solvent

to minimize dust generation. Scoop into suitable con-

tainers appropriate for either recovery or disposal to

avoid exposure and to comply with applicable waste dis-

posal regulations. Alternatively, use an industrial

vacuum cleaner equipped with a high efficiency particulate

filter. Remove filter and dispose of it in a manner to

avoid exposure and to comply with applicable waste dis-

posal regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: - Handle in enclosed or contained process equipment with

effective local exhaust ventilation. Wear safety glasses

with side shields, chemical splash goggles and/or full

face shields, rubber gloves and disposable suits to

minimize potential for eye, skin and repiratory expsoure.

If process create dusty conditions, appropriate half masks

or airpurifying respirators will be worn.

Storage: - The substance should be stored in sealed and secure poly-

lined fiberboard containers that meet the international

shipping standards and regulations. The substance will be

stored in a well-ventilated warehouse or equivalent that

meets current fire protection standards and will be at

room temperature.

Dust residue on outside of containers should be avoided,

if necessary the container may be swapped with a damp

cloth to remove any traces of dust before storage.
