Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates


In the 48-hour acute toxicity test on Daphnia magna, the 48-h EC50 value was determined to be 2.15 mg/L. The 48-h NOEC was determined to be 1.05 mg/L.


Toxicity to aquatic algae


In the 72-h algal growth inhibition test with Raphidocelis subcapitata the 72-h EC10, EC20, EC50 for growth rate were determined to be 3.18, > 5.14 (5.71 calculated) and > 5.14 mg/L, respectively. The 72-h NOEC for growth rate and yield was determined to be 3.09 mg/L.


Toxicity to microorganismes


The substance did not inhibit the degradation of the positive reference substance sodium benzoate when added at a nominal concentration of 2 mg/L in the available study on the ready biodegradability (closed bottle test, OECD 301D).
