Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The substance was tested on different aquatic organisms, representing the three trophic levels: fish, invertebrates and algae; furthermore, the assessment for long term (fish and invertebrate) and microorganisms is based on the structurally analogue substance (CAS 1689-99-2).
The 96-hour LC50 for fish exposed to the present test material was 0.029 mg a.i./L for L. macrochirus in freshwater.
The 48-hour EC50 for aquatic invertebrates exposed to the present test material was 0.031 mg a.i./L for D. magna in freshwater.
The 120-h ErC50 for algae exposed to the present test material was 0.22 mg a.i./L for P. subcapitata in freshwater.
From the source study, the NOEC for early life stage of P. promelas was 0.0049 mg a.i./L.
From the source study, the 21-day NOEC for aquatic invertebrates exposed to the present test material was 0.0036 mg a.i./L for D. magna in freshwater.
From the source study, the 120-h ErC10 for algae exposed to the present test material was 0.0087 mg a.i./L for P. subcapitata in freshwater.
From the source study, the 3-hour EC50 for microorganisms exposed to the present test material was > 1000 mg /L.
Additional information
The substance was tested on aquatic organisms of different trophic levels (fish, invertebrates, algae and aquatic plants).
A short-term key toxicity study assessed the effects on fish, according to EPA OPP 72-1 performed with the bluegill sunfish (L. macrochirus, 96 h, freshwater). The acute effect value in fish was determined in with an LC50(96h) of 0.029 mg a.i./L (mean measured).
The long-term effects of the substance towards fish was derived from an analogue substance in a flow-through early-life stage toxicity test with Pimephales promelas according to EPA OPP 72 -4. A NOEC of 0.0049 mg a.i./L (mean measured) was determined as the derived chronic value.
Aquatic invertebrates were the most sensitive organisms when exposed to the test substance. In an acute toxicity test on the freshwater invertebrate (EPA OPP 72-2), Daphnia magna, immobility was assessed, resulting in an EC50(48 h) of 0.031 mg a.i./L.
The long-term effects of the substance towards Daphnia magna was derived from an analogue substance in a 21-day toxicity test according to EPA OPP 72-4. A NOEC (21d) of 0.0036 mg a.i./L (nominal) was determined.
The toxicity of the substance to aquatic algae was derived from an analogue substance in a study performed according to EPA OPP 122-2 with freshwater algae P. subcapitata. The 120-h ErC50 and ErC10 were 0.22 mg a.i./L and 0.0087 mg a.i./L, respectively, based on mean measured concentrations.
The effect of the substance on the respiration rate of microorganisms (activated sludge) was derived from an analogue substance in a dose-response test. The EC50 (3 h) was determined to be > 1000 mg/L (nominal). Thus, the test substance is not inhibitory to microorganisms.
