Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Excessive vapours exposition must be avoided. If breathed
remove from the danger area and bring the people in a clean
and well aerated area. Call a doctor immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes or better with aqueous solutions of sodium
ascorbate(5%) or sodium bicarbonate (2%) freshly prepared,
then wash with water for 15 minutes.
Ask for a physician immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove the product with a clean cloth and wash with soap and
water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Call a doctor immediately. Waiting for the doctor, if the
person is coscient, administer water in small sips and
charcoal tabletts in addition.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Sprayed water from safety distance
Product arising from burning: Termal decomposition (150-160 °C): acetophenone, cumyl
alcohol, 1,3 and 1,4 isopropylcumyl alcohol, acetyl
isopropyl benzene, methane and ethane.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Safety gas mask with organic-vapours filter.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorbe the spilled substance over inert materials as
perlite or vermiculite or sand.
Dispose through combustion in a protective place little by
little. Avoid reserving in landfill.
Big amounts must be mixed with inert materials and burned,
into incinerator with post-combustion chamber and scrubber.
Waste according to the local laws.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear suitable protective clothing, protective goggles and
rubber gloves. Avoid any contacts with skin and eyes. Do not
smoke and avoid fire and high temperature. Use anti-sparking
tools.
Provide for emergency showers and eye irrigation in the
working place.
Storage: Keep containers tightly closed in a cool place (max. 30°C).
Keep away from reducing agents (e.g. amines), acids, alkalis
and heavy metal compound (e.g. cobalt acccelerators).
Keep away from heat sources, fires and sparks.
Do not smoke and provide for suitable measures against
elechtrostatics charges and atmospheric discharges.
Storage of more than 100 Kg. must be put into a suitable
store.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Mainly plastic receptacle with outer fibreboard box.
