Administrative data
First-aid measures
- After inhalation: Supply fresh air. Seek medical treatment in case of complaints.
- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- After swallowing: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air.
- Information for doctor: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing agents: The product is not flammable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE
- No further relevant information available.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
- Protective equipment: Wear fully protective equipment. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire-fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Wear protective clothing.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
- Avoid formation of dust.
- Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
- Ensure adequate ventilation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
- Damp down dust with water spray.
- Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
- Pick up mechanically.
- Avoid formation of dust.
- Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.
Handling and storage
- Wear protective clothing.
- Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
- Prevent formation of dust.
- Provide suction extractors if dust is formed.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
- Use only in well ventilated areas.
INFORMATION ABOUT FIRE - AND EXPLOSION PROTECTION
- No special measures required.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES STORAGE
- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle. Keep container tightly sealed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Use skin protection cream for skin protection.
- Respiratory protection: Use suitable respiratory protective device when high concentrations are present. Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P1 and Filter FFP1.
- Protection of hands: Protective gloves - the glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR, Nitrile rubber, NBR. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: Value for the permeation: Level ≥ 240 min. (EN 374). The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed. Not suitable are gloves made of the following materials: Strong material gloves.
- Eye protection: Safety glasses.
- Body protection: Protective work clothing.
Stability and reactivity
- No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: Reacts with oxidising agents.
- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.
- Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents.
- Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.
Disposal considerations
- Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
- European waste catalogue: 06 03 14: solid salts and solutions other than those mentioned in 06 03 11 and 06 03 13.
- Uncleaned packaging and recommendation: Non contaminated packagings may be recycled.
