Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. As the need arises, seek medical advice.
Skin contact: wash with plenty of water and soap. As the need arises, seek medical advice.
Eyes contact: flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
Ingestion: do not induce vomiting. If the victim is conscious and not convulsing, give water or milk to drink, and immediately get medical attention.
Protection for first-aiders: refer to section ‘Exposure controls/ personal protection’.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: carbon dioxide, foam and powders.
Extinguishing media to avoid: water bar.
Fire and explosion hazards: on combustion, generates toxic gases (e.g. carbon monoxide)
Protective equipment: wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective full clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions
Wear protections (e.g. protective gloves, goggles and gas respirator) during work. As the need arises, ventilate the area.
Spill or leak procedures
Environmental precautions
Take precautionary measures against discharges into the environment.
Methods for cleaning
Prevent the spilled material entering into a river or sewers.
Recover with a vacuum-cleaner, broom and others.
Remove without scattering dust.
Use explosion-proof and anti-electrostatic equipment.
Use tools that do not produce sparks.
Handling and storage
Caution: combustible
Handling: Establish washing equipment for eyes and body near the handling area.
Ventilate work area enough.
Wear dustproof mask in order not to breathe dust.
Wear adequate protection (e.g. protective gloves and googles, etc)
Large-amount handling may cause dust explosion.
Use explosion-proof and anti-electrostatic equipment.
Wash thoroughly hands, face, etc., and gargle after handling.
Storage: store container tightly closed in well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure control: local exhaust ventilation may be necessary.
Exposure limit: none listed.
Uses identified against: no information available.
DNELs/DMELs for workers
Inhalation: 7.05 mg/m³
Dermal: 10 mg/Kg bw/day
Personal protection
respiratory protection: in dust atmosphere, use an approved dustproof mask
hand protection: protective gloves
eyes protection: protective goggles
Stability and reactivity
Stability: stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
Reactivity: on heating with alkaline-substance, decomposes forming soap.
Conditions to avoid: avoid ignition sources (e.g. flame, fire, spark).
Hazardous decomposition: carbon monoxide.
Disposal considerations
May be burned in an adequate incinerator in accordance with all applicable regulation. Any disposal practice must be in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations (contact local or state environmental agency for specific rules).
