Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice
Remove contaminated or saturated clothing.
Inhalation
In case product dust is released:
Possible discomfort: irritation of mucous lining (nose, throat, eyes) cough, sneezing, flow of tears.
Move victims into fresh air.
If symptoms persist, consult a physician for treatment.
Skin contact
Wash off immediately with plenty of water.
See a doctor if the symptoms persist.
Eye contact
Keeping eyelid open, immediately rinse thoroughly for at least 5 minutes using plenty of water or, if necessary, eye rinsing solution.
Consult an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion
Have the mouth rinsed with water.
Have patient drink plenty of water in small sips.
Consult a physician immediately.
Notes to physician
If required, therapy of irritative effect.
If substance has been swallowed:
Early endoscopy in order to assess mucosa lesions in the oesophagus and stomach which may appear. If necessary, aspirate leftover substance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
water spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide (CO2), alcohol-resistant foam
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons
high volume water jet
Specific hazards during fire fighting
May be released in case of fire: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulphur oxides.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information
Water used to extinguish fire should not enter drainage systems, soil or stretches of water.
Ensure there are sufficient retaining facilities for water used to extinguish fire.
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions
Wear personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions
Do not allow entrance in sewage water, soil stretches of water, groundwater, drainage systems.
Methods for cleaning up
Pick up mechanically. Collect in suitable containers.
Additional advice
Isolate and seal off defective containers immediately.
Handling and storage
Handling
Safe handling advice
Local ventilation.
Always close container tightly after removal of product.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Keep away from humidity.
Storage
Requirements for storage areas and containers
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
Advice on common storage
Do not store together with: acids and alcaline solutions.
