Description of key information

The substance is a salt of oleyl diamine and oleic acid (1:1 molar ratio). Both dissociation products are readily biodegradable. In addition ready biodegradability is observed for structurally identical substance Oleyl diamine and oleic acid (1:2 molar ratio; Gancet 2004). The biodegradation rate in the study with N-(Oleyl alkyl)- 1,3-propanediamine mono oleates is most likely limited due to the reduced bioavailability of the test substance.
