Description of key information

"Sulfates of potassium, sodium and calcium, by-product from fermentation” is an inorganic UVCB substance. It is a beige powder, odourless, with the following properties :

- no melting point up to 400ºC, but the colour of test item changed at about 300ºC from initial light beige to grey,

- the relative density is 2.580 at 20°C,

- the vapour pressure is waived because the melting point is > 300°C, however it is considered as very low,

- the coefficient of variation is waived because the substance is inorganic,

- the water solubility is 2.4 g/L at 20°C and pH 7.7, and moreover it has been demonstrated that the target substance "Sulfates of potassium, sodium and calcium, by-product from fermentation” is effectively completely transformed/dissolved within 2 hours into sulfate anions and potassium, sodium and calcium cations,

- no surface tension properties expected,

- not flammable and not auto-flammable,

- no explosive and no oxidising properties.
