Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air, if symptoms persist call a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Consult a physician if necessary.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. If symptoms persist
consult a physician.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water
Product arising from burning: Acidic mist
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self contained breathing apparatus
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Clean up promptly by sweeping or vacuum. After cleaning
flush away traces with low pressure water. Use appropriate
personal protective equipment during clean up.
Disposal should comply with Federal, State and local
regulations. Solutions have a pH < 4.0 and may be
considered a hazardous waste upon disposal due to the acidic
pH characteristic of the solution. If approved, flush to
sewer or waste water treatment plant. Large quantities
should be neutralized with soda ash.
Handling and storage
Handling: The preparation containing the substance will be used by
trained personnel. Contact with eyes, skin, or clothing
should be avoided and personnel need to wash thoroughly
after handling. Exposure is minimised by the following:
Engineering controls - Ensure adequate ventilation,
especially in confined areas
Personal protective equipment
Eye protection - Safety glasses with side-shields
Skin and body protection - Lightweight protective clothing
Hand protection - Gloves
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat
sources such as light fixtures or space heaters.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is transported in 200 L plastic drums.
