Description of key information

Two substances within Benzol forerunnings (coal) are suspected reproductive toxicants. In both cases this led to harmonised classification as Repr. Tox. cat 2 H361fd "Suspected of damaging fertility. Suspected of damaging the unborn child"

The suspected reproductive toxicants are toluene and carbon disulphide.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Two substances within Benzol forerunnings (coal) are suspected reproductive toxicants. In both cases this led to harmonised classification as Repr. Tox. cat 2 H361fd "Suspected of damaging fertility. Suspected of damaging the unborn child"

The suspected reproductive toxicants are toluene and carbon disulphide. Based on their content in benzol forerunnings (coal), this classification is also warranted for the entire substance.
