- The MMAD (Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter < 100 µm) of Anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt has a value of 22.87 µm as spherical particles.
- Executive summary:
According to OECD guideline 110 the particle size distribution of Anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt was fractionated by a 100 μm sieve and tested by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The fraction < 100 μm is gushed to carbon pads and sputtered with gold. The particle classification (mean diameter): 0.4-0.5, 0.5-1.0, 1-2, 2-3, 3-5 and 5-100 μm, additional <0.4 and >100μm is reported. The mass fraction is calculated for spherical and cubical volume in classes of particle diameter <4 μm, 4-10 μm, 10-100 μm and > 100 μm. For the determination of the particle size and the aspect ratio, 4 pictures have been taken by SEM at a magnification of 350 times. The MMAD (Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter < 100 µm) of Anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt has a value of 22.87 µm as spherical particles. The Spheric Volume of the mass fraction > 100 µm was 89.33 %.
