- Necropsy findings included congestion of internal organs and pulmonary hemorrhages. Microscopic examination revealed fatty degeneration of the liver and albuminoid degeneration of the kidneys. Congestion and irritation of the bronchial mucosa, fatty degeneration of the heart, and edema and swelling of neural tissue of the brain were seen.

- 1-bromo-3-chloropropane does require labelling with the hazard statement H331 "Toxic if inhaled" in accordance with the CLP regulation. In addition, the description of the clinical signs in airway (nasal discharge, wheezing, ...) indicates a respiratory irritation potential of the substance in accordance with the annex 1 (chapter 3.8.2.2.1 d) of the CLP regulation.
