Test

Freezing / Melting Temperature

1. Freezing / Melting Temp.

lower than –100 °C (<173 K)

2. Freezing / Melting Temp.

lower than –100 °C (<173 K)

The DSC diagrams show no freezing temperature (no exothermic peak) and no melting temperature (no endothermic peak) which is higher than –100°C (173 K).

There was no indication of any discernible decomposition in the diagrams.

Conclusions:
A melting point value of <-100 °C at 1013 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not compliant with GLP.
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Reliability:
4 (not assignable)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
documentation insufficient for assessment
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
other: not specified
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -30 °C
Conclusions:
A melting point value of <-30°C is reported in secondary literature (MSDS). The original reference was not available for review and no further information is available. The reliability of this result is not assignable.

Description of key information

N-[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine: <-100°C at 1013 hPa (measured)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A melting point value of <-100°C at 1013 hPa was determined by DSC method according to OECD Guideline 102. The melting point is supported by a measured value of <-30°C.
