- Cola®Teric CDB, lot # 56587D17 (cetyl betaine 30% in aqueous solution), was tested for surface tension at various dilutions, using deionized water to make up the solutions.
Cola®Teric CDB consists of approximately 30% by weight of Cetyl Betaine, CAS # 693-33-4. The remainder of the material is water, 64% and associated salt, 6%. - Key result

Description of key information
Cetyl betaine was tested as a 0.1wt% solution in distilled water. Surface tension determinations were performed upon a clear solution.
The surface tension was reported as 31.47 ± 0.19 mN/m at 20 °C.
A supporting study carried out at Colonial gave a Surface tension measurement of 36.5 mN/m at 23°C
