Description of key information

Disperse Brown 19 was assessed in an OECD 302C test and not found to be inherently biodegradable (0% based on O2 consumption after 14 d). The structural analogue substance SA02 was used as key study. As almost all disperse dyes, the substance was not found to be readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B test (4% based on CO2 evolution after 28 d). Summarising, Disperse Brown 19 is neither considered readily nor inherently biodegradable.
