After a 30-day period, at 25°C in the dark, less than 10 % hydrolysis was observed at each pH tested: 5, 7 and 9.

=> the registered substance is considered as hydrolytically stable

Additional information

Hydrolysis study was performed according to FIFRA guideline 161 -1. The aim of the study is to assess the stability of the substance at various pH: 5, 7, 9. The tests are done at 25 °C during 30 days in the dark.

After a 30-day period, less than 10 % hydrolysis was observed at each pH tested. Of the initial concentrations, mean percentages of 101, 101 and 102% remained at pH 5, 7 and 9, respectively. 14C amitrole is considered hydrolytically stable
